Training Process
After adding content, train your workspace to apply the changes and update its knowledge base.
When to Train
Train your workspace when you:
- Add new content (websites, files, text, Q&A, etc.)
- Delete outdated content
- Update existing training content
- Want to apply changes
Training Required: Content changes don't take effect until you train. Your workspace uses previous knowledge until training completes.
Starting Training
Add Content
Ensure you've added all content you want trained.
Ready to Train
A "Ready to Train" notification appears when new content is pending.
Open Training Modal
Click the training notification or button to open the interface.
Start Training
- Review content summary
- Check character count
- Click "Start Training"
- Wait for process to begin
Training States
State | Description |
---|---|
Ready to Train | New content available |
Queued | Waiting in line for processing |
Training | Content being processed |
OK | Training complete, workspace updated |
Error | Training failed |
Queue System
When training is queued:
- See your position in line
- Estimated wait time shown
- Training auto-starts when ready
- Continue working while waiting
Most training starts within a few minutes. Queue wait times vary based on system load.
Training Progress
During training you'll see:
- Progress bar showing completion
- Current training step
- Character processing count
- Time elapsed
Training Duration
Time depends on:
- Content amount (more = longer)
- Content type (websites/files take longer than text)
- System load
- Workspace size
Typical Times:
- Small updates: 1-3 minutes
- Medium updates (10-50 items): 5-10 minutes
- Large updates (100+ items): 15-30 minutes
- Full website crawls: 10-45 minutes
Training Completion
When training succeeds:
- Status updates to "OK"
- Content is live
- Success notification displays
- Workspace uses updated knowledge
Troubleshooting
Best Practices
Before Training
- Review all new content for accuracy
- Remove test or duplicate content
- Verify Q&A pairs are correct
- Check character count against limits
- Ensure content assigned to correct BVs
After Training
- Check status shows "OK"
- Test workspace with sample questions
- Verify new content in responses
- Confirm character count is correct
