Configure how your Support BV operates, including URL restrictions and rate limiting.

General Settings

Support BV Name

Set a descriptive name to identify your Support BV in your workspace.

  • Maximum 50 characters
  • Appears in dashboard and analytics
  • Use descriptive names like "Customer Support Assistant"

Allowed URLs

Control where your Support BV appears:

All URLs (Default)

  • Support BV appears on all website pages
  • Best for general customer support

Custom URLs

  • Restrict to specific pages
  • One URL per line
  • Supports wildcards: https://example.com/products/*
  • Use for specialized support (e.g., product pages only)

Excluded URLs

Pages where Support BV should NOT appear, even if they match allowed URLs.

Common exclusions:

  • Admin pages: https://example.com/admin
  • Payment pages: https://example.com/checkout/payment
  • Internal tools: https://example.com/internal/*

Note: Excluded URLs take priority over allowed URLs.

Status

  • Active - Support BV is live and responding
  • Disabled - Temporarily hidden from all pages (data preserved)

Delete Support BV

Permanently remove your Support BV.

⚠️ Warning: Deletion cannot be undone. All conversations, settings, and training data will be permanently removed.

Rate Limiting Settings

Protect your Support BV from spam and abuse.

Messages Per Minute

Controls messages per minute per customer session.

  • Default: 10 messages/minute
  • Range: 1-100
  • Recommended: 6-15 for normal support

Burst Limit

Maximum consecutive messages in 10 seconds.

  • Default: 5 messages
  • Range: 1-20
  • Recommended: 3-5 for standard protection

Note: Burst limit should not exceed messages per minute.

Messages Per Hour

Hourly message limit per session.

  • Default: 50 messages/hour
  • Range: 10-200
  • Typical usage: 20-40 messages/hour

Messages Per Day

Daily message limit per session.

  • Default: 100 messages/day
  • Range: 50-500

Recommended by use case:

  • Simple FAQs: 50-100
  • General Support: 100-200
  • Technical Support: 200-350

Block Duration

How long to block a session that exceeds rate limits.

  • Default: 60 minutes
  • Range: 1-1,440 minutes (1 min to 24 hours)
  • Recommended: 30-120 minutes

E-commerce

  • Messages/Minute: 10
  • Burst Limit: 5
  • Messages/Hour: 50
  • Messages/Day: 150
  • Block Duration: 60 minutes

SaaS Support

  • Messages/Minute: 12
  • Burst Limit: 6
  • Messages/Hour: 80
  • Messages/Day: 250
  • Block Duration: 45 minutes

High-Security

  • Messages/Minute: 6
  • Burst Limit: 3
  • Messages/Hour: 30
  • Messages/Day: 100
  • Block Duration: 120 minutes

Saving Settings

Click "Save Changes" to apply your settings. Changes take effect immediately.

Click "Reset" to revert to last saved state.
