Scheduling Automated Posts

Automatically generate social media content based on your defined frequency and settings. Set up once, and Social Media BV generates fresh content on your chosen days and times.

Accessing Schedule Creator

From the Social Media BV dashboard, click Schedule Posts. You can also edit existing schedules by clicking the edit button on scheduled post cards.

Schedule Configuration

Frequency Selection

Choose how often to generate posts:

  • Daily: Post every day at your specified time (can exclude specific dates)
  • Weekly: Select specific days of the week (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
  • Monthly: Choose specific days of the month (e.g., 1st, 15th, 30th)
  • Custom: Pick exact dates for one-time or irregular posting

Time Configuration

  1. Set the time of day for post generation using the time picker
  2. Select timezone (auto-detected, but can be changed)
  3. Review summary (e.g., "Daily at 09:00 (America/New_York)")

Interactive Calendar

Use the calendar to configure your schedule visually:

  • Daily: All future dates are highlighted. Click dates to exclude them.
  • Weekly: Click any date to toggle that weekday. All instances are highlighted.
  • Monthly: Click dates to select those days of the month.
  • Custom: Click specific dates to add them to your schedule.

View the Next 10 executions below the calendar to verify your schedule.

Post Configuration

After setting timing, configure what posts should be generated:

  1. Platform: Select LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, or Blog
  2. Topic: Enter topic for scheduled posts (e.g., "Weekly productivity tips")
  3. Tone: Choose from Professional, Casual, Enthusiastic, Informative, etc.
  4. Purpose: Select Announcement, Educational, Promotional, Engagement, etc.
  5. Content Length: Short, Medium, Long, or Custom word count
  6. Language: Choose from 40+ languages

Advanced Options

  • Keywords: Specific words to include
  • Key Points: Main points to cover
  • Exclude Words: Terms to avoid
  • SEO Keywords: For blog posts

Image Generation Settings

Enable automatic image generation for scheduled posts (costs 15 additional credits per execution):

  • Style: Realistic, Artistic, Minimalist, Illustration, Abstract, Vintage
  • Color Theme: Vibrant, Muted, Monochrome, Warm, Cool, Brand Colors
  • Aspect Ratio: Square, Landscape, Portrait, etc.
  • Reference Images: Upload up to 2 images

Content Filters

  • Scenario Filters: Event, Product, Lifestyle, Testimonial, Tutorial, News, Team, Promotion
  • Composition Filters: Overhead Shot, People Placement, Background Style, Framing
  • Custom Filters: Add your own specific requirements

Creating Your Schedule

  1. Configure frequency and use calendar to set schedule
  2. Set time and timezone
  3. Configure post settings (platform, topic, tone, purpose, etc.)
  4. Review summary and "Next 10 executions" list
  5. Click Configure Post or Update to save

Managing Active Schedules

Viewing Schedules

  • Desktop: Right sidebar on main dashboard
  • Mobile: Tap "Scheduled Posts" button to view modal

Each schedule shows:

  • Platform and status (Active/Inactive)
  • Frequency and time
  • Topic
  • Last run date

Editing Schedules

  1. Click edit button on scheduled post card
  2. Modify any settings
  3. Click Update to save (changes take effect immediately)

Deleting Schedules

Click trash icon and confirm deletion. Previously generated posts remain, but no new posts will be created.
