Image Dimensions

Model-Specific Dimension Support

Different AI models support different dimension configurations:

Aspect Ratio Models:

  • Use precise aspect ratios like 21:9, 1:1, 16:9, 9:16
  • Images generated at exact specified ratios
  • When using reference images with FLUX 1.1, dimensions auto-detect from source

Image Size Models:

  • Use preset image sizes (Square HD, Portrait 4:3, Landscape 16:9, etc.)
  • Consistent, platform-optimized outputs

All models now generate images at exact specified dimensions. No more approximations!

Reference Images

Upload reference images to guide the AI's visual output by showing, not just telling. The AI analyzes references and applies similar characteristics to your new image.

Upload Requirements

  • Supported Formats: PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP
  • File Size: Maximum 10MB per image
  • Upload Method: Drag and drop or click to browse

What Reference Images Guide

  • Visual Style: Overall aesthetic and artistic direction
  • Composition: How elements should be arranged
  • Color Palette: Specific colors and relationships
  • Mood: Feeling and atmosphere
  • Subject Appearance: How objects should look

Best Practices

  1. Use Clear Images: High resolution with good lighting
  2. Match Your Intent: Realistic references for realistic results
  3. Combine Strategically: Use multiple images for different aspects (one for color, one for composition)
  4. Don't Over-Rely: References guide style, but your prompt defines content
  5. Save Successful Images: Use them as future references for consistency

The AI doesn't copy references. It learns from them and applies similar characteristics to your new image based on your prompt.

Composition Filters

Control how elements are arranged and framed in your images. Select multiple filters (2-4) for combined effects.

Camera & Framing

  • Overhead Shot: Top-down bird's eye view
    • Best for: Flat lay, food photography, product arrangements
  • Close-Up: Tight framing on subject
    • Best for: Product details, portraits, texture emphasis
  • Wide Angle: Broad, expansive view
    • Best for: Landscapes, architectural shots, group photos
  • Centered: Subject in center of frame
    • Best for: Symmetrical designs, formal compositions, product photography

Subject Placement

  • People in Front: People as main focus in foreground
    • Best for: Team photos, testimonials, human-centered content
  • People in Back: People in background for context
    • Best for: Product focus with context, environmental scenes

Background Style

  • Empty Background: Clean, minimal background
    • Best for: Product photography, professional content, focus-driven imagery
  • Busy Background: Detailed, complex background
    • Best for: Contextual imagery, storytelling scenes, lifestyle content

Example Combinations

  • Professional Product: Empty Background + Close-Up + Centered
  • Lifestyle Scene: People in Front + Busy Background + Wide Angle
  • Food Photography: Overhead Shot + Empty Background

Avoid conflicting filters (e.g., "close-up" + "wide angle"). Use 2-4 filters for best results.

Custom Tags

Add specific keywords to guide the AI beyond preset options. Custom tags are particularly useful for lighting, mood, technical effects, and style details.

How to Add Custom Tags

  1. Type keyword in "Custom Tags/Filters" field
  2. Press Enter or click "Add"
  3. Tag appears as removable badge
  4. Add more or click X to remove

Useful Custom Tag Categories

Lighting:

  • "golden hour lighting"
  • "studio lighting"
  • "soft diffused light"
  • "dramatic shadows"

Mood:

  • "energetic and dynamic"
  • "calm and peaceful"
  • "professional and serious"

Technical Effects:

  • "shallow depth of field"
  • "bokeh effect"
  • "high contrast"
  • "motion blur"

Style Details:

  • "vintage film grain"
  • "glossy and polished"
  • "matte finish"

When to Use Custom Tags

  • Need specific lighting not covered by themes
  • Want particular technical effects
  • Aiming for very specific mood
  • Standard options don't capture your vision

Be specific, avoid redundancy with your prompt, use photography terms, and test incrementally.

Negative Prompt

Describe what you don't want in the image. The AI actively avoids these elements during generation.

Common Use Cases

Ensuring Quality:

blurry, low quality, pixelated, distorted

Avoiding Text:

text, watermark, signature, logo

Maintaining Realism:

cartoon, illustration, unrealistic

Avoiding People:

people, faces, person, human

How to Use

  1. Open "Advanced Options" section in creator
  2. Enter what to avoid in "Negative Prompt" field
  3. AI avoids those elements during generation

Use sparingly. Too restrictive negative prompts can limit creativity. Start simple and add specifics only if needed.

Training & Brand Settings

Leverage your workspace's training data and brand profile for more contextual, brand-aligned image generation.

Training Data Integration

Training data provides the AI with deep knowledge about your brand, products, and industry.

Training Data Types:

  • Text content and documents (PDF, Word, etc.)
  • Website content from URL scraping
  • Q&A pairs about your brand
  • Google Docs and Notion pages

Assignment System:

  • Training data must be assigned to "Image Gen BV" in Workspace Training
  • Only assigned data is used during generation
  • Multiple training sources can be combined
  • Character limits apply per workspace plan

Benefits:

  • AI understands your brand's specific terminology and products
  • Generates images aligned with your brand's visual language
  • Improves prompt interpretation with brand context
  • Creates product visuals using knowledge from training documents
  • Ensures industry-specific accuracy

Example: If your training includes product documentation, the AI can accurately generate images of your products even from brief prompts like "our flagship product in use."

Brand Settings Integration

Brand settings provide the AI with your complete brand profile to guide visual style and tone.

Brand Profile Components:

1. Brand Basics:

  • Company name and description
  • Primary brand color (hex value)
  • Logo and visual identity

2. Brand Personality:

  • Archetype: Hero, Creator, Explorer, Sage, Jester, Everyman
  • Traits: Friendly, Professional, Bold, Trustworthy, Quirky, etc.
  • Tone: Formal, Conversational, Witty, Inspirational, Empathetic

3. Market Position:

  • Business model (B2B, B2C, Marketplace, Subscription, etc.)
  • Target audience (Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, Boomers, Executives, etc.)
  • Unique selling proposition (Price, Quality, Innovation, etc.)

4. Brand Messaging:

  • Core values (Integrity, Excellence, Innovation, etc.)
  • Target emotions (Trust, Joy, Inspiration, Connection, etc.)
  • Tagline and brand story

How Brand Settings Influence Generation:

  • Colors: Brand colors inform palette selection and theme
  • Personality: Archetype and traits guide visual style choices
  • Audience: Target demographics influence composition and appeal
  • Values: Core values ensure generated images align with brand ethics
  • Tone: Visual tone matches brand communication style

Example: A brand with "Bold" and "Cutting Edge" personality traits targeting "Gen Z" will receive more vibrant, modern imagery than a "Professional" brand targeting "Executives."

Setup Requirements

For Training Data:

  1. Navigate to Workspace Settings → Training
  2. Add training content (Text, Files, Web, Q&A, Google Docs, Notion)
  3. Click "Assign" on training items
  4. Select "Image Gen BV" from the assignment modal
  5. Save assignments

For Brand Settings:

  1. Navigate to Brand Settings (sidebar menu)
  2. Complete all 4 sections:
    • Basics (name, color, logo)
    • Personality (archetype, traits, tone)
    • Market (business model, audience, USP)
    • Messaging (values, emotions, tagline, story)
  3. Save each section

Usage:

  • Enable "Use Training" toggle in Image Creator to apply training data
  • Enable "Use Brand Settings" toggle in Image Creator to apply brand profile
  • Both can be used together for maximum brand alignment
  • Both are optional and can be enabled/disabled per generation

Training data and brand settings work together: training provides knowledge while brand settings guide style. Using both creates the most accurate, brand-consistent results.
